POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

 

RELIEF JUVENILE SUPERVISOR

Part Time, $10.53/hour

 

Responsible for care, supervision & security of juvenile detainees; conducts psycho-educational groups; does related work as required.  Applicants must comply with Interdepartmental Standard 22 VAC 42-10-760 which prohibits cross gender supervision of detainees during showers, dressing and toileting.  To be considered for the position, applicant must indicate on the application that they are willing to work a schedule that includes days, evenings and weekends.  There will be no guaranteed amount of scheduled hours.  Applicant must be at least 18 yrs. of age, pass physical exam with drug screen, and pass criminal and Child Protective Services background check.  Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate degree in a human services field OR a high school diploma with successful experience in care and supervision of maladjusted juveniles, preferably within a residential setting.
